Philippine Vidart (aka Finu) is a Brussels based illustrator. Influenced by dreams, folklore, and nature, she guides her viewers through familiar yet foreign realms. Her work blends distorted representations of reality with surreal and whimsical themes, inviting us to look at our world through a new lens. By pushing the boundaries of format and composition, she challenges the linear reading process, transforming her pages into visual puzzles. This enables her to engage the viewer’s gaze with the aim of stimulating curiosity, encouraging contemplation, and opening up interpretations. Her body of work includes personal projects as well as public artworks and printed creations designed for institutions and entrepreneurs in the cultural sector.

In this leporello book, the story unfolds as the reader follows a peculiar crowd marching together through the four seasons. Médor is a Belgian investigative magazine known for its in-depth reporting on public interest issues such as tax evasion, political dysfunction, social dumping, flaws in the education and healthcare systems, women’s rights, and more. This series of illustrations was created for Médor #38, issued in spring 2025, for the sections Enquêteke, Traits-Belges, Fulguro-Point, and Le Sexe de Médor. Each drawing was made using a mix of traditional drawing and digital coloring techniques, incorporating humor and symbolic imagery to support the content of the articles.
