Leaving one's native country entails a change in personality, identity, and perspectives, regardless of the reasons of departure. Amjad and the director both belong to the Druze community. With the same cultural background but a different outlook on life, they discover together how their upbringing in Syria and migration to Europe have influenced their decisions, leading them on different paths in their new adopted country. The documentary 'Salt in Water' was directed by Louay Dabous, produced by Atelier Graphoui as part of the Halaqat project open call.
